Designed for CSO Ophthalmic Instruments (Florence, Italy), the Future refraction unit was developed as a next-generation ophthalmic workstation combining refined ergonomics, modern aesthetics, and functional integration for clinical environments.

ALTA provided complete industrial design, mechanical engineering, and product development, transforming the concept into a production-ready system. The project included the design of the operator console, integrated examination chair, instrument support structures, user interface, and graphical interface (GUI), creating a cohesive user experience across both hardware and software.

Particular attention was given to ergonomic workflow, premium materials, intuitive controls, and seamless integration of diagnostic instruments, resulting in a sophisticated ophthalmic platform that combines functionality, visual identity, and manufacturing efficiency.
