For Corning Life Sciences and other OEM manufacturers, ALTA developed the industrial design of a compact mini microcentrifuge intended for quick sample spin-downs and routine laboratory procedures.

The design focused on creating a lightweight, recognizable and intuitive benchtop instrument. Particular attention was given to the compact proportions, convenient access to the rotor chamber and integration of the transparent lid, allowing users to see the samples and rotor during operation.

Softly contoured surfaces and carefully defined transitions give the product a clean and approachable appearance. The enclosure was also designed to support different branding and colour configurations for Corning and its OEM partners.

The resulting design combines a minimal laboratory footprint, simple operation and a distinctive professional identity suitable for individual workstations.
