We designed the exterior form and interface layout for the D2012S microcentrifuge, prioritizing a highly compact desktop footprint and a clean clinical aesthetic.

Our Core Contributions:

• Compact Benchtop Profile: Sculpted a space-saving, low-profile outer chassis to minimize laboratory workspace footprint while cleanly enclosing the high-speed centrifugation hardware.

• Interface Integration: Structured a seamless front-facing layout for the central LCD panel and parameter controls to optimize user line-of-sight during convenient quick spins.

• Functional Lid Geometry: Refined the upper closure lines and parting boundaries to perfectly align with the device’s automatic door-lock safety integration.

• Clinical Design Language: Applied smooth, continuous surface geometry and clean lines, creating a premium laboratory profile that is exceptionally easy to maintain and wipe down.
