ALTA was commissioned by Aquavil to develop the industrial design of a home-use electric faucet for the AU-Soda system. During Design, our team developed multiple faucet concepts, each characterized by a distinct identity and a clear differentiation from existing products on the market.

The design focused on a smooth, minimal and ergonomic form language combined with intuitive one-touch operation to ensure safe and comfortable everyday use. Particular attention was given to user interaction, reducing the risk of accidental water contact while reaching for the controls.

The faucet design supports cold, hot, sparkling and ambient water dispensing, including a child-safe hot water lock and clear visual status indications such as UV operation, CO2 pressure level and system working status. All design solutions were evaluated to avoid infringement of existing electronic faucet design patents.

The project was conceived for domestic kitchen environments and small professional spaces, targeting European, North American and other developed markets. Manufacturing feasibility and material selection were considered from the early design stages to ensure compatibility with industrial production processes.

ALTA’s scope of work for this project was limited to the industrial design of the faucet component only.
