For Dragon Laboratory Instruments Ltd, ALTA designed the RE100-S, an LED digital rotary evaporator developed for evaporation, distillation and separation processes in chemical laboratories.

The design project focused on organizing the instrument’s different functional elements—including the glassware assembly, manual lifting mechanism, electronic control unit and heating bath—into a clear, compact and coherent laboratory workstation.

Particular attention was given to usability and visual clarity. The front interface provides immediate access to rotation speed, bath temperature and operating time, while the manual lift with auxiliary adjustment allows the glassware to be positioned precisely. The separate 5-litre heating bath can operate with either water or oil and may also be used independently.

The resulting design gives the RE100-S a professional and recognizable identity while combining functional clarity, precise adjustment and convenient access to the components required for routine laboratory distillation.
